Is it possible to play college basketball without high school experience?

If I did not play in high school or middle school, is it possible for me to be able to play on thecollegelevel?

It's possible, but you'd have to be an exceptional athlete. You'd have to be willing to work very hard as well. A small school wouldn't hurt.

It's possible, but the big basketball powers like Florida, Texas, Ohio State, UCLA and the like won't be interested in you. You might want to start off in a communitycollegeif you're interested in inter-collegiate athletics. If it's just for fun, most colleges have an intra-mural program of some kind.
Yes
yes it is, but the thing is you have to be exceptionally good because youll hav e the cards stack against you. also, you have to develope a high basketball iq, which most players get through playing organized ball all their lives. and another thing, most walk-ons played in high school.... but dont let all these difficulties stop you because anything is possible and this isnt a very big stretch.

look at it this way: antonio gates from the san diego chargers became one of the best tight ends in football without playingcollegefootball (different sport but same, and ever harder, concept)
It happens. Scottie Pippen was a towel boy for hiscollegeteam until his sophomore year. A growth spurt at about 18 or 19 years old would sure help your chances.
If I told you "no" would that stop you from trying out?

Anything is possible. There have been walk-on's in pro ball withoutcollegeexperience.
Sure you can. Do you play in any club leagues? Tere are opportunities at many levels, not just DI. There are more than 280 D II programs, 359 D III's and 248 NAIA schools offering basketball programs. Not to mention the more than 400 JC schools that offer teams. www.sportsworx.com can help you with the whole process and they place over 85% of their enrolled athletes.
i dont think steve francis played in high school
