When you play with people that arent as good, you take more chances. Instead, do your best not to make any mistakes just like you would with good compettition.

First of all you must play varsity if you're in 11th grade or higher, its the rule. Second, for the love of god stay in school and get a better education. Third, "sucky people"....haha i dont know, just play smarter than them.
Well, I've had the same problem with my team. We always played at the other team's level instead of our own level.

Try to keep your level consistent, and then you'll do good against every team you play...

Good Luck :D
You first need to do your homework or you won't make it to college.
good luck, keep it up.
