Apparently this 52 year old did not play for a NCAA school.

Either military service or missionary service does not count against NCAA eligibility after graduating from college.

While still in the military and attending a NCAA college, my father, married with four children, played NCAA level baseball in his thirties after having played NCAA level football, basketball, and baseball when he was 18 and 19 years old before joining the military.

He never playedcollegebasketball where he played baseball in his 30s and wasn't the oldest ever; however, with continuous military and/or missionary service after high school, there is no age limit as far as elibibility in playing NCAA Division I.
